Privacy & security
What we collect, how we protect it, who sees it, and how to have it corrected or deleted. Written in plain language; if your organization has a security questionnaire, we're happy to fill it in.

What we collect
- Visits to the site: we count page views with a code that changes every day, so we can tell how many people visited without tracking anyone over time. We don't store visitors' internet addresses with these counts, and we delete them after 120 days.
- Cookies: if you arrive through a partner's referral link, a cookie remembers the partner for 90 days so they can be credited. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- If you sign up for StaffScreen: your details are handled as described on StaffScreen's privacy page. Card details stay with Stripe.
We never ask for or store patient records or other protected health information, and we don't sell, rent or trade information.
Public records
When the California roster opens, directory pages will show only what state and federal records already make public, such as a clinician's name, license number and status, and a practice's NPI Registry address and phone number. License status is quoted exactly as the state publishes it.
Who we share it with
Only the services that run the site: Cloudflare hosts the site and protects it from attacks, Stripe processes payments, and Resend delivers our emails. We don't share information with anyone else, except where the law requires it.
Your choices
To correct or delete information about you, email privacy@californialicensedirectory.com. We reply within 30 days.
About us
California License Directory is an independent service, not a government agency. Confirming credentials with the primary source remains each employer's responsibility.
Screen your California staff every month
StaffScreen, our sister service, checks your whole team against the federal OIG and SAM.gov exclusion lists every month and emails you a dated certificate for your compliance file. California customers hear first when the California License Directory roster opens.
